Some time ago I posted an image of two beautiful cameras – the Canon EOS 3 vs the Canon EOS 5D. Without all further comments, these two cams are beautiful tools from two different worlds – one analog and one digital. So similar on one side and so different on the other side. Some time… Continue reading The Beauty and the Beast …

Australian Adventure III
After completing the second part of my Australian Adventure, which more focused on the towns on our path, I’m now coming back to nature in the third part of the series. This time it’s about Tasmania – a lovely island. As explained in one of the images, it reminds my on my homeland Bavaria –… Continue reading Australian Adventure III
Entering Soviet Territory …
Today a new era has begun. Besides the German and Japanese gear, I decided to make first small steps in Soviet Territory. As I already own some M42 lenses, what would be better than a Zenit M42 camera – in my case a Zenit TTL was the winner. For the pic I attached my… Continue reading Entering Soviet Territory …
New Kids on the Contax/Yashica Block …
Some new kids arrived today to play with. First – and hopefully the last of the kids – is a Contax Aria. Second – trying to complete the C/Y lens lineup – are three Yashica ML kids. One is the Yashica ML 2.8/35mm – one of my favorite focal lenghts. Another one is the Yashica… Continue reading New Kids on the Contax/Yashica Block …
Firenze …
Just came about an old album from a visit in Italy, when searching for some stuff. In 2006 I spent an amazing week in the beautiful town of Firenze in the Toscana. With me I had my good old Canon EOS 10D, which during all the years delivered really fine pics ;) On our way… Continue reading Firenze …
Olympus OM-2 spot/program and Olympus OM Zuiko Auto-W 2.8/28mm arrived …
Today I got a new box with two nice tools included. An Olympus OM-2 spot/program to complete my OM range and an Olympus OM Zuiko Auto-W 2.8/28mm to complete my OM Zuiko lens range. The next weeks a roll of film will find its way into that nice little body. I’m just looking after my… Continue reading Olympus OM-2 spot/program and Olympus OM Zuiko Auto-W 2.8/28mm arrived …
Blossom Impressions …
The last days I had some fun in the garden, as lots of flowers are giving their very best to make this time an amazing colourful one. I was lucky shooting three cameras/lens combinations. Echinacea / Sonnenhut, shot with Pentax LX, Pentax-A SMC 2.8/28mm, Agfa Vista 400. Anemone hupehensis / Herbst-Anemone shot with Fuji X100s… Continue reading Blossom Impressions …
Pentax LX with SMC Pentax-A 2.8/28mm reused …
Last weekend I was on a short trip to Frankfurt and I wondered what camera to join me. Soon it was clear that my Fuji X100s was the one to go … but I wanted to have something more analog ;) So it finally was my Pentax LX with a SMC Pentax-A 2.8/28mm lens who… Continue reading Pentax LX with SMC Pentax-A 2.8/28mm reused …
Australian Adventure II
Having now nearly reached the middle of the photo review about my Australian Adventure, I noticed that I have posted a lot of cool views of Western Australia. However what is missing – at least IMHO – is a bit more about those small towns we passed by on our trip. I just mentioned them… Continue reading Australian Adventure II
Australian Adventure
It’s time to launch a new short series. Lasting nearly two years of postprocessing (just kidding), sorting, sorting and … sorting, I’m now about to put my Australian Adventure live on Flickr – check it out. In November 2015 we started from Munich via Dubai to Perth – our first short rest on a new… Continue reading Australian Adventure
Contax RX Mirror Slip …
Recently I had the issue with my Contax RX, when the mirror hit the lens’ rear part during several exposures. After investigating on the web, I found this a common issue with contax cameras. The glue, fixing the mirror on the mirror carrier, gets loose over the years. Thus, as the camera is usually standing… Continue reading Contax RX Mirror Slip …
No GAS …
So long and thanks for all the fish.
FullFrame
