A Contax 167MT and a Carl Zeiss Distagon 2.8/28mm in Porto

This time in Porto … something went terribly wrong. Getting back my films from the lab, they wrote that some images were underexposed. Seeing the results, around 1/3rd of the frames were near black and I’m still guessing what happened. The Contax 167MT with its Carl Zeiss Distagon 2.8/28mm worked quite well with the Kodak…… Continue reading A Contax 167MT and a Carl Zeiss Distagon 2.8/28mm in Porto

Part 4 of our 2017 trip through Irleands Southwest and West. Irelands Southwest and West (Part 2)

Part 2 of our 2017 trip through Irleands Southwest and West. Arriving in Dublin, we immediately got our car and headed southeast. Dublin itself was planed as the Great Final of the tour. Some people (greetings to Jim) are recommending to hire a car as small as possible, as driving in Ireland can be challenging…… Continue reading Irelands Southwest and West (Part 2)

A Nikon F‑301 travelling Ireland

Overture Mid 2017 we made a two week trip through Ireland. Motivated by Jim Grey from Down the Road who made several wonderful posts about his journey in 2016, I tried to get hands on an old analog Nikon F‑301 camera with a 35mm lens attached. I packed five rolls of Agfa Vista 400 to…… Continue reading A Nikon F‑301 travelling Ireland

Olympus OM-2n and H.Zuiko Auto‑W 2.8/24mm on Crete

As told in one of my previous posts, I was on a trip to Crete and this time an old Olympus OM-2n came with me. I decided to pick my Olympus H.Zuiko Auto‑W 2.8/24mm lens and loaded an Agfa Vista 200 film. Just leaving for a trip to Crete. Having the good old Olympus OM-2n with its H.Zuiko Auto‑W 2.8/24mm lens with me. The OM-2n has recently been for a CLA at the OM-Labor in Frankfurt, Germany. Hiking the Haselstein and the Center of Central Europe

On this hike I carried with me three cameras — maybe I should stay at one per hike only, as weight is always an issue. The film one was a Contax G2 with its Carl Zeiss Biogon 2.8/28mm attached. I loaded a Kodak Ultramax 400. After the second image the camera stopped working due to…… Continue reading Hiking the Haselstein and the Center of Central Europe

Prague w/ a Contax 159MM

Spending a day in December in Prague, that town famous for its light, its mood and its old architecture. This time I choose a Contax 159MM to come along with me. As we only had one day, it felt like speed dating with this town. As it was end of the year, it was ugly…… Continue reading Prague w/ a Contax 159MM
