The Calendar Files … 2018 … Melbourne Murals

Well, just to recap … now we’ve reached 2018 and we are in Melbourne! This time I made two calendars. One is a collection of murals from Melbourne shot by my daughter. Melbourne, to me the most impressive city in Australia — besides Perth —  and a city world famous for its creative mood, its…… Continue reading The Calendar Files … 2018 … Melbourne Murals

The Calendar Files … 2017 … Australia

Well, just to recap … we’ve now reached 2017 and we are in Australia this time! A once in a lifetime trip around South-Western Australia, Tasmania and … finally Melbourne. We carefully selected our route to avoid the overcrowded eastern part of this continent. A full series of this trip can be seen on my…… Continue reading The Calendar Files … 2017 … Australia

Inspiration is the motor for improvement

Did I ever tell the story, … why I love a special kind of city skyline images? It was some time ago, when I was looking for something wide, something quite wide, something quite large and something … quite old. I found a Zeiss Ikon Ercona, a 6x9 technical wonder from the early fifties -…… Continue reading Inspiration is the motor for improvement

Australian Adventure — I’m done!

These were the last images I posted in my Australian Adventure series, started long ago. They show two old classic Volkswagen in Fitzroy/Melbourne. It was our last day in Melbourne and Australia and so gives a good link to our next day flight back to Germany. The complete series can be found here on my…… Continue reading Australian Adventure — I’m done!

Australian Adventure — Murals

This time — and I promise this trip is nearing its end — we strolled through the streets of Melbourne, hunting for the famous murals. Melbourne is full of street art and in some areas you can’t miss ‘em — like here around Hosier Lane. In case you’d like to comment, it’s appreciated … and…… Continue reading Australian Adventure — Murals

Australian Adventure — Melbourne Skyline

Our trip to the world’s end is nearing it’s finishing line. This time I have a couple of long time exposure night shots from Melbourne’s southbank over the Yarra River which show the full beauty of this fantastic skyline. As you know my dilemma, boths worlds look stunning — black&white and coloured. # Enjoy 😉…… Continue reading Australian Adventure — Melbourne Skyline

Australian Adventure — Classic Cars

Nice intermediate … in Melbourne, when visiting the Queen Victoria Market, we found a Classic Car Show with loads of beautiful cars. As mentioned before, I find colour and black&white very pleasing. This was a Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Sedan (1960). Here the phantastic colours … … and here come the beautiful black&white. Enjoy 😉…… Continue reading Australian Adventure — Classic Cars

Australian Adventure IV — Melbourne

Coming to the final part of our tip to tne world’s end, we now entered Melbourne, a fascinating big city — Australia’s second largest. with nearly 10 times the size of Berlin (10000 km²:1000 km²) it hast around the same number of people living there — approx. 4.5 mio. Australian Adventure III

After completing the second part of my Australian Adventure, which more focused on the towns on our path, I’m now coming back to nature in the third part of the series. This time it’s about Tasmania — a lovely island. As explained in one of the images, it reminds my on my homeland Bavaria -…… Continue reading Australian Adventure III

Australian Adventure II

Having now nearly reached the middle of the photo review about my Australian Adventure, I noticed that I have posted a lot of cool views of Western Australia. However what is missing — at least IMHO — is a bit more about those small towns we passed by on our trip. I just mentioned them…… Continue reading Australian Adventure II
