Already from 1390 …
… the Gothic window cycle in the choir was donated by wealthy Nürnberg patrician families. The picture shows the three windows of the Groß family (mentioned in documents since 1274), the Waldstromer family (mentioned in documents since 1230) and the Stromer family (mentioned in documents since 1254) – from left to right. Further windows followed between the years 1410 and 1430.
At the time of the great fire in 2014, these priceless windows had been removed for repair work and were therefore spared from the fire.
